What's New at CIQ: October 2026

Every six weeks, we ship new ways to help your team plan smarter, pay faster and operate with more confidence. Here’s what’s new this cycle from CaptivateIQ.
CaptivateIQ Incentives
Comp Builder Agent (GA)
Comp Builder Agent is now generally available. Admins describe the change they need in plain language, and the agent builds it from the plans and data already in CaptivateIQ, so teams can build at the speed of intent.
- Explain inherited logic. Ask what a formula does or why a payee’s number came out the way it did, and get a plain-language walkthrough of the logic.
- Debug broken formulas. Point the agent at a calculation that looks wrong, and it traces the error back to its upstream source.
- Update or refresh comp plans. Update one rate, like a commission rate from 8% to 10%, across every plan that uses it. The agent checks downstream dependencies first.
Before executing, the agent shows you exactly what it will change and the downstream impact. You confirm, it acts. Access is rolling out to customers in cohorts. Contact your Customer Success Manager to get your team on the list.
Inquiries Enhancements (GA)
A new capability will be releasing this cycle: internal notes, which gives comp teams a private space to coordinate on an inquiry without that context being visible to the rep who submitted it.
Plan Documents Enhancements (GA)
Multi-hierarchy recipient assignment for Plan Documents is now generally available. Admins can send plan documents to recipients across multiple reporting hierarchies, so each document reaches the right reps and managers even in complex org structures.
CaptivateIQ Planning
Rev Planning Agent – Proactive Intelligence (GA)
Proactive intelligence for the Rev Planning Agent is now generally available. Building on September’s GA release, the agent now flags risks and opportunities in your plan before you go looking for them:
- Unassigned accounts that need an owner before rollout
- Quota adjustments the agent recommends based on your plan data
- Unbalanced territories and coverage gaps before they become problems at rollout
Each recommendation draws on full context across territories, accounts, quotas, and roster data. Any change still runs through the same confirmation step. You confirm, it executes.
Collaboration Access Type Enhancements (GA)
Sales Planning is introducing a new Plan Admin access type for more granular delegation of admin-level permissions, alongside a renamed Viewer role (formerly Commenter) that more accurately reflects what that access level can do. Together, these give planning admins tighter, clearer control over who can edit, comment on, or simply view a plan.
Sandbox Sync to Production
At the request of customers running Sales Planning and Incentives side by side, we're adding the ability to sync Sales Planning configuration from a Sandbox environment into Production without overwriting existing Incentives data or configuration, making it easier to test planning changes safely before they go live.
Sales Planning Enhancements & Polish
This release also includes a set of smaller enhancements and quality fixes across Sales Planning, addressing feedback from customers on everyday workflow friction. As always, our goal is to keep tightening the day-to-day experience between major feature releases.
Platform Enhancements
Sandbox Selective Sync (Closed Beta)
Sandbox environments now support selective sync, giving admins more control over exactly which configuration and data get copied between Sandbox and other environments, rather than an all-or-nothing sync.
PGP Encryption for SFTP Connector (Closed Beta)
With PGP file encryption for SFTP, your source system encrypts files with a public key from CaptivateIQ before uploading them. We decrypt them securely on our end and load your data as usual. Enabling it takes a few clicks, and encrypted and unencrypted files can share the same resource, so you can roll it out at your own pace.
